Built for how UAE businesses bill

A UAE tax invoice has to carry the right details: your Tax Registration Number, the VAT charged, the total in AED and, for many customers, an Arabic version. Invroot puts those on every document by default, so a compliant invoice is the normal output — not a template you have to assemble.

VAT

5% VAT, calculated automatically

Set 5% once and it applies per line, with the VAT amount and the total shown separately the way a tax invoice requires. Zero-rated and exempt lines are supported for the cases that need them.

TRN

Your TRN on every tax invoice

Add your Tax Registration Number once and it prints on every invoice, quote and receipt — and you can record your client's TRN too, for a proper business-to-business tax invoice.

Arabic

Arabic tax invoices, fully right-to-left

Issue the same invoice in Arabic with correct right-to-left layout, Arabic numerals and a translated document — not a font swap on an English page.

AED & 140 currencies

Bill in AED, or in your client's money

Invoice in dirhams for local customers and in any of 140 currencies for clients abroad, while your own subscription is billed in your country's currency.

Documents

The tax-invoice format, branded as yours

Every PDF is laid out as a tax invoice and carries your logo, stamp and signature, your terms and your footer — the document your customer receives is yours end to end.

Getting paid

Payment links and automatic reminders

Share a link your client can pay from, and let Invroot chase what goes overdue, so the dirhams you have invoiced actually land.

On your phone

Your receivables, in your pocket

Check what you are owed, review an invoice and record a payment from the site, the office or the car.

  • The Invroot dashboard on a phone: closing balance, receivables and payables for Meridian Interiors LLC
    See what you are owed
  • The send sheet for an invoice: WhatsApp, email to the client, share the PDF, or more options
Send it by WhatsApp or email
  • A photographed supplier invoice with the scan line passing over it: reading the page
    Photograph a supplier bill

What a UAE tax invoice has to contain

The Federal Tax Authority sets out exactly what a VAT invoice must show. Invroot puts every one of these on the document for you — here is what they are, and what happens if one is missing.

The mandatory fields on a full tax invoice

Article 59 of the VAT Executive Regulation lists what a full tax invoice must carry. Miss one and the document is not a valid tax invoice, which means your customer cannot recover the VAT on it — and that is usually the first thing their accountant checks.

  • The words “Tax Invoice”, clearly displayed
  • Your name, address and Tax Registration Number (TRN)
  • The customer’s name, address and TRN, where they are registered
  • A sequential invoice number that identifies the document uniquely
  • The date of issue, and the date of supply if it differs
  • A description of the goods or services supplied
  • For each line: unit price, quantity, the VAT rate and the amount payable in AED
  • Any discount offered, the gross amount payable and the VAT amount, each in AED
  • For invoices in another currency, the AED equivalent and the exchange rate used

Simplified tax invoices

Where the customer is not VAT-registered, or the total including VAT is AED 10,000 or less, a simplified tax invoice is allowed: it drops the customer’s details and shows the total with VAT included. Retail and small trade run on these. Invroot issues the full format by default, because a full tax invoice is always valid — a simplified one is valid only when the conditions are met.

When it has to be issued, and how long you keep it

A tax invoice must be issued within 14 days of the date of supply. Records — the invoices, the credit notes, the ledger behind them — have to be kept for five years from the end of the tax period they relate to, and longer for real estate. Invroot never deletes an invoice: cancelling one voids it and keeps the record, and the number it consumed stays consumed, so the sequence the FTA expects has no gaps.

Invoicing in a currency other than the dirham

You can bill an overseas client in their currency. The Regulation requires the VAT amount and the total to also be stated in AED, converted at the UAE Central Bank rate on the date of supply, and the rate shown on the document. Invroot carries the conversion and the rate on the invoice, and the dirham sign — the new ⃃ symbol as well as “AED” — renders correctly on the PDF.

Electronic invoicing in the UAE

Every invoice Invroot issues is an electronic document: created, numbered, sent and stored digitally, and delivered to your customer as a PDF and a payment page. Separately, the Ministry of Finance is introducing a national e-invoicing programme, built on the Peppol network with Accredited Service Providers, in phases from 2026 beginning with the largest businesses. Invroot is not an Accredited Service Provider today. If your business falls into a mandated phase, check the current MoF timetable — and we will say plainly here when that changes.

Invroot issues electronic tax invoices that carry every field Article 59 requires — TRN, sequential numbering, VAT per line, AED totals. The Ministry of Finance’s Peppol-based e-invoicing programme, which requires an Accredited Service Provider, is being rolled out in phases from 2026 starting with the largest businesses; Invroot is not an ASP today. We state this here rather than let you find out at filing time.

Yes. Recurring invoices go out on a schedule you set. Reminders chase overdue ones automatically. And you can describe a job in plain words and let the AI draft the invoice — client matched, lines filled, 5% VAT applied — for you to check and send.

Every invoice comes with a payment page your customer can open from the email or the PDF and pay by card. The payment is recorded against the invoice the moment it lands, and the receipt is generated for you.
