Invoicing in Morocco

Invoicing software for Morocco

Issue Moroccan invoices with 20% TVA and your ICE — in dirhams, with the identifiers a Moroccan invoice is expected to carry.

Built for how Moroccan businesses actually invoice

TVA is charged at 20% as the standard rate, and a Moroccan invoice is expected to carry your ICE and your identifiant fiscal alongside the usual details. Invroot puts them on every document. One thing to know before you start: Invroot publishes in Arabic, English and Spanish, and not yet in French — which is the working language of a great deal of Moroccan business.

TVA

20% TVA, applied per line

The standard rate is set for a Moroccan workspace from the start and applied per line rather than to the whole document, so reduced-rate and exempt items sit on the same invoice as standard-rated ones.

Identifiers

Your ICE and identifiant fiscal on every document

Both sit in your company profile and print on every invoice, quote and receipt, alongside your logo, stamp and signature — so the identifiers a Moroccan client expects to see are already there.

Be aware

Not connected to the DGI

Invroot produces and tracks your invoices; it does not submit declarations to the Direction Générale des Impôts and is not an accredited e-invoicing channel. Your accountant still files. What Invroot gives them is a clean, gap-free record.

MAD

Priced and paid in dirhams

Invoice in MAD, or in your client’s currency when you bill into Europe or the Gulf — any of 140. Each invoice keeps the currency it was issued in.

Numbering

Sequential, gap-free numbering

Numbers are assigned in sequence and never skip. A gap in the numbering series of a registered business is a question you would rather not be asked.

Getting paid

Payment links and automatic chasing

Every invoice can carry a payment link, and overdue ones are chased on a schedule you set, so following up is not a job someone has to remember.

Morocco invoicing questions

Yes. A workspace with Morocco as its country starts with 20% as its default rate, and you can add reduced and exempt rates alongside it or change the default in Settings.

Not yet. The interface and the documents are available in Arabic, English and Spanish. French is the language a large share of Moroccan business runs on, and we would rather say so plainly than let you find out after signing up.

No. Invroot does not submit anything to the DGI. It keeps the invoice records your declaration is built from, and exports them for your accountant.
